Why do we help others
Updated: Oct 6, 2019
We, human beings are always desiring approval, appreciation and consolation from others.
Many times, helping others and make them dependent on us feeds the desire for approvals.
Whenever you feel like helping other, stop and evaluate as to how you can help to make them independent. That is the real help. Don't just give money. That only feeds the energy of poverty. Instead, try to make your help meaningful by empowering others. When we don't expect even gratitude from the person, who is helped, this kind of help also develops humility. Your help need not be known to others.
When you expect any gratitude from that person, you may feel hurt and you may desire consolation. The help loses its value.
